...and more awaits us in December. Help us make sure there's a gift in every boot. We're raising money to make a difference locally. That's why we've created the NikoLAUSITZ - St. Nicholas Office and hope to reach a fundraising goal of €5,000 this year.
In short: Every year we hold our St. Nicholas Office. Here, children drop off their freshly cleaned boots and a toy they no longer need. (We want to teach the kids that giving is receiving, so don't just take, give too!) Our helpers and supporters fill these boots with lots of wonderful gifts for the children. Last year, we received about 350 children's boots (and the number is growing). We organize a popular Christmas market where St. Nicholas himself, along with his elves, returns the boots to the children. We donate the collected toys to charitable children's organizations (orphanages, family support centers... at least, they should go to children who are less fortunate, and there are certainly plenty of them). And because the event is becoming increasingly popular, we're hoping, of course, that we'll be able to fill all the boots.
